-"This is a significant new form of tourism. The tree house is suspended in the canopy of a Nispero tree 25m above the forest floor.
The judges were impressed by the great care taken to ensure that when the tree house is removed there will be no trace of it and the success that the Nature Observatori has had in working with local Naso tribe members as guides and the local purchase of traditional artefacts for the tree house.
This is a new initiative with only 200 visitors per year. The judges were particularly interested in the innovative fractional ownership initiative which could potentially protect, through purchase, a significant amount of forest."
